Punjab Assembly: PTI seeks death penalty for corrupts

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has on Saturday tabled a resolution in Punjab Assembly seeking death penalty for corrupts.
As per details garnered, the resolution was moved by PTI’s lawmaker Nadeem Qureshi.
The resolution states that corruption has destroyed state-institutions and crippled economic activities. The resolution says it is mandotary to curb the corruption once and for all for country’s progress.
The resolution demands immediate legislation in this regard.
It is pertinent here to mention that Pakistan had been ranked on 117 out of total 180 countries in corruption perception index compiled by transparency international. The country managed score of only 32/100.
