Five takeaways from PM Imran Khans first overseas visit to Saudi Arabia
Pakistan invited Saudi Arabia in becoming the third strategic partner in CPEC.
(WebDesk) – In a bid to have some financial assistance to give a boost to the dilapidating economy of Pakistan, Prime Minister Imran Khan made an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is believed that Prime Minister Khan choose Saudi Arabia as his first official overseas visit to seek Riyadh’s economic assistance rather for an IMF bailout package.
This was Premier’s first abroad visit since coming into power. Madina Munawara Governor Prince Faisal Bin Salman received the prime minister at the airport.

Out of respect for holy land belongs to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), Prime Minister Imran Khan walked barefoot in mosque of Madina. For second time, he was seen barefoot. He first was seen before the elections 2018 when he along with wife has visited the Holy Land.
Prime minister paid his respects at Roza-e-Rasool (SAW) and offered Magrib prayer and Nawafil in Riaz-ul-Jannah. The doors of Roza-e-Rasool (SAW) and Khana-e-Kaba opened for the prime minister and his delegation.

PM Imran Khan calls on Saudi King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince
Prime Minister Imran Khan called on Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud at the Royal Court.

During the meeting, matters pertaining to mutual interest, bilateral relations, trade, investment and economic ties came under discussion. Pakistan’s key federal cabinet members met with Saudi counterparts.

On arrival in the palace of Saudi King, the Prime Minister was presented guard of honour.On the occasion, tunes of national anthems of the two countries were played.
During the visit, PM Khan was also honored with a special dinner by the Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman and exchanged ideas on increasing cooperation in political, defence, economic, commercial and cultural sectors.

PM Imran’s first Interview to any International outlet
In an exclusive interview to the Saudi State Television Al Arabiya, PM Khan said that Saudi Arabia has always helped Pakistan whenever it needed help. Pakistan support Saudi Arabia and there should be no conflict in the Muslim World. He said Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have a strong people-to-people relationship.

Prime Minister Imran Khan Official visit to UAE
Pakistan s Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived Abu Dhabi on a state visit to UAE and was welcomed by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and officials. Mohamed bin Zayed holds talks with the Pakistani Prime Minister on regional and international issues of mutual interest as well as enhancing bilateral ties.

PM Khan was also supposed to attend the Pakistan India clash in Asia Cup 2018 but did not arrive to watch the match.
Saudi Arabia to join CPEC as Third strategic partner
Information Minister Fawad Chaudhary in a presser after the two day visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to Saudi Arabia, said that Saudi Arabia will be joining the CPEC as a third strategic partner to the grand project. He said Saudi Arabia will invest in Pakistan and will be the strategic partner in the China Pakistan Economic Corridor project.
