CJP Nisar takes suo motu notice of expensive facilities in private hospitals

CJP summoned the owners of more than ten private hospitals on Sunday.

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Mian Saqib Nisar on Saturday has taken suo motu notice of the expensive healthcare facilities in private hospitals of Lahore.

The Chief Justice, hearing a case of public interest at the Supreme Court Lahore Registry, summoned the owners of more than ten private hospitals to appear before the court on Sunday.

He also issued notices to the Secretary Health Punjab and Punjab Healthcare Commission in this regard.

Remarking over water issue, CJP clarified not to tolerate water theft at any cost. He also announced to take action against those stopping from the construction of the dams under Article 6.

We only want to serve the nation, he added.

The top judge also lauded the special report regarding wastage of water that was aired on Dunya News and said that it has unveiled the reality with facts.
