Chinese delegation calls on COAS Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa
Wang Yi appreciates professionalism of Pakistan Army
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chinese delegation led by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), during the meeting, matters related to regional security and bilateral cooperation came under discussion.
The Chinese foreign minister said that Pakistan-China relationship was based on convergence of views and mutual respect.
Wang Yi while appreciating professionalism of Pakistan Army said that the world should acknowledge Pakistan’s efforts towards regional peace and stability.
He appreciated security provided to China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project and said that China believes in inclusive prosperity.
Speaking on the occasion, the COAS thanked Chinese foreign minister for his visit and continued Chinese support to Pakistan.
Gen Bajwa said that Pakistan has suffered from global contestation but we are poised to claim our rightful place in comity of nations through commitment to peace and stability both within and without.
Chinese Ambassador in Pakistan Yao Jing was part of the delegation.
