Day began with 31 gun salute in the federal capital and 21gun salutes in provincial capitals.

(WebDesk) - Defence and Martyrs Day is being celebrated across the country with zeal and fervency. Paying the homage to the martyrs and Ghazis of Pak armed forces, Roads, Fly overs and Buildings are installed with giant banners, posters and holdings in support of their significant contribution in the security and prosperity of the country.

The commemoration of the day began with the thirty-one gun salute in the federal capital and twenty-one gun salutes in provincial capital.

Special prayers were offered after dawn prayers in mosques for the progress and prosperity of the country. along with the recitation of fateha and Quran khawani for the martyrs.
