KP govt to abolish Ehtsab Commission

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) govt on Wednesday has decided to abolish provincial Ehtsab Commission while terming proceedings of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) ‘satisfactory’.

As per details garnered, the KP government has also decided to activate anti-corruption units at divisional and districts level. The provincial govt also announced to introduce monitoring system to curb corruption.

Addressing a joint press conference, spokesperson for KP govt Shaukat Yousafzai and finance minister Taimur Jhagra stated amendments would be introduced soon to address flaws in local government systems. Likewise, legislation is also underway to expand KP Police Act to tribal areas.
