ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan Tuesday directed parliamentarians not to cause hindrance in administrative matters after a lawmaker was accused of interferring.

Chakwal Deputy Commissioner Ghulam Saghir Shahid had accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Zulfiqar Ali Khan of interfering in official matters.

In his letter to the Punjab chief secretary, Ghulam Saghir Shahid alleged that MNA Zulfiqar Ali pressurised him to transfer/post 17 officials of the Revenue Department.

Naaemul Haq, special assistant to the prime minister, said Imran expressed displeasure on the incident and warned lawmakers against pressurising local administrations.

DC Chakwal said that MNA Zulfiqar Ali first came to his office and pressurized him to transfer/post 17 officials and then telephoned him on September 3 and asked to transfer/post Revenue Department officials including Girdawars and Patwaris.
