Sharjeel Memon's blood sample tested negative for alcohol

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Sharjeel Memon’s blood sample tested negative for alcohol. The blood samples of Memon were sent to two hospitals.

As per details acquired by Dunya News, three other tests related to alcohol also came negative.

The blood samples of Sharjeel Memon were taken on September-1 on orders of Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar.

Sindh govt will now forward report of Memon’s test to Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC).

Three bottles of alcohol were recovered from the room of PPP leader Shaejeel Memon during the surprise visit of Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar at Ziauddin Hospital in Karachi.

According to details, the top judge went to Memon’s room and found the bottles after which, he asked where attorney general is.
When inquired, Sharjeel Memon said that he has nothing to do with these bottles.

The Section 4 reads: “Whoever owns, possesses or keeps in his custody any intoxicant shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term, which may extend to two years, or with whipping not exceeding thirty stripes, and shall also be liable to fine.”
