Prominent guests that graced the oath taking with their presence

Some very prominent guests attended the historic oath-taking ceremony.

(WebDesk) – Ever since Imran Khan’s PTI came forth as the most prominent party in the General Elections that took place on 25th July, almost everyone awaited the day Imran Khan would fulfill his lifelong dream and take oath as Pakistan’s 22nd Prime Minister.
After variations in dates, 18th August was finally decided as the day Imran Khan would be sworn in as Pakistan’s newest PM.

Leading up to the oath taking ceremony, the PM elect made it clear that the ceremony was to be kept as simple and as straightforward as possible. So sticking to his promise, Imran could only invite a few hundred of his closest family members, friends, colleagues and allies to the historic ceremony.

Imran Khan reached the President House in Islamabad wearing a traditional black Sherwani and finally took oath as Pakistan’s newest leader from current President of Pakistan, Mamnoon Hussain.

Let us look at some of the prominent guests who attended the historic oath taking ceremony

General Qamar Javed Bajwa

One of Pakistan s most important personalities, the Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa was one of the first people to arrive at the historic ceremony.

Navjot Singh Sidhu

Former Indian Cricketer and Imran Khan s close ally, Navjot Singh Sidhu arrived from India to attend the oath taking ceremony yesterday. He was one of the most talked about guests to attend the ceremony.

Wasim Akram

Friend, close ally and the most important member of the World Cup winning squad of  92, Wasim Akram was also present to witness the historic moment.

Bushra Maneka

Of course no event would be completed without the wife of Imran Khan. Bushra Maneka came to the ceremony to support her husband one of his most important days.

Pervez Elahi

The new speaker Punjab Assembly and former Chief Minister Punjab, Chaudhry Pervez Ilahi graced the event with his presence.

Javed Sheikh

Representing the entertainment industry, famous Pakistani actor Javed Sheikh was also present at the historical oath taking ceremony.

Salman Ahmad

Famous singer and member of the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf, Salman Ahmad arrived at the President House to stand by his leader in the historic moment.

Mudassar Nazar

Former teammate of Imran Khan, Mudassar Nazar was also present at the President House to see Imran take oath as the new PM.

Abrar Ul Haq

Singer, philanthropist, social worker and one of the earliest members of the PTI, Abrar Ul Haq was also present at the oath taking ceremony.
