Summary Justice Siddiqui, Jawwad Khawaja, Justice Khilji Hussain and Justice Pervaiz comprise the SC bench
The Supreme Court has constituted a four-member bench to hear a review petition filed against its verdict of declaring decision of the parliamentary committee on judges’ appointment as null and void. The parliamentary committee had refused to grant extension to four additional judges of the Lahore High Court and two additional judges of the Sindh High Court.The Supreme Court had declared the decision of the committee as null and void on March 4. The government has filed a review petition against the SC verdict.A four-member SC bench, led by Justice Mehmood Akhtar Shahid Siddiqui has been formed to hear the case. Other judges in the bench are Justice Jawwad S Khawaja, Justice Khilji Arif Hussain and Justice Tariq Pervaiz. The hearing will start on April 1.
