PTI's parliamentary party meeting in KP to be held shortly
Pervaiz Khattak has given names of Shah Farman and Mahmood Khan for the slot of KP chief minister.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The parliamentary party meeting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) will be held today (Tuesday), Dunya News reported.
The meeting was summoned by PTI chief Imran Khan for consultation and nomination of chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after PTI’s victory in the provincial assembly elections in the province.
Former chief minister Pervaiz Khattak has given names of Shah Farman and Mahmood Khan for the slot of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister.
Earlier, PTI had formally nominated party’s supremo Imran Khan as their candidate for next Prime Minister of Pakistan.
A parliamentary meeting was held at a private hotel in Islamabad during which, Shah Mehmood Qureshi presented a resolution nominating Imran as their PM candidate
Imran Khan thanked the members for showing their trust in him. The change for which PTI has been struggling for 22 years will now going to be witnessed, he added.
The newly-elected members of National Assembly were also taken into confidence while discussion over the names of speaker and deputy speaker was also carried out.
The meeting was attended by several politicians including Asad Umar, Pervez Khattak, Chaudhry Sarwar and Shafqat Mahmood.
PTI spokesman Fawad Chaudhry hoped that PTI will get support from Balochistan National Party (Mengal) and its total numbers in the National Assembly would reach one hundred seventy seven.
