ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leaders Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi met Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan at his residence in Bani Gala Islamabad on Monday.

During the meeting, the Chaudhry brothers congratulated the prime minister-in waiting on election victory. They also assured Imran Khan of PML-Q s all-out support for PTI in its bid to form government in the centre and Punjab.

The PTI chief lavished praise on the PML-Q leadership over their "historic" development projects in Punjab and said that PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif "ruined what you achieved during your tenure as the Punjab chief minister".

Earlier, a meeting of the PML-Q, while refusing to support PML-N, decided to shake hands with PTI. The decision was taken after a high-level meeting headed by Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.

It was said in the meeting that Pakistan Muslim league-Nawaz (PML-N) always contacted to gain benefit. "We are the allies of PTI and this alliance will be further strengthened. We will support PTI in Punjab and centre."

Sources privy to development stated that PML-N had contacted PML-Q through former speaker National Assembly (NA) Ayaz Sadiq and had offered key offices in the would-be coalition government.

On the other hand, six more MPA-elects have joined ranks of Imran Khan, thus strengthening his position in Punjab with a lead of 134 seats.
