Yasmin Rashid emerges as strong candidate for Punjab CM slot

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Former General Secretary Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Punjab Dr Yasmin Rashid met party chief Imran Khan in Islamabad on Saturday.

She has emerged as a strong candidate for Punjab Chief Minister (CM) as majority of PTI members support her for the post.

A social media campaign is also happening in favour of Rashid.

Khan had called Yasmin Rashid at his residence Bani Gala in Islamabad where a one-to-one meeting was held between both of them.

Talks were held over government affairs after party win in the general elections 2018.

Yasmin Rashid also presented a report of her constituency NA-125 where she lost to Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Waheed Alam Khan.

Alam stood on first spot with 122327 votes while Yasmin Rashid received 105557 votes.

At least 353 polling stations were established in the constituency.
