Summary The World Bank has approved a package of $400 million for Pakistan's education sector.
The World Bank said that the assistance would be used on projects to improve conditions for teaching, learning and research for enhanced access, quality and relevance at the university level across the country.The package will also be used to increase enrolment rates and reduce gender and rural-urban disparities in primary education in Punjab and Sindh provinces.An amount of $300 million will go to the higher education of the country whereas the remaining amount will be reserved for the Punjab and Sindh Education Sector Projects at primary level.
