Seven-year-old Pakistan girl dies in India after heart surgery

Zainab, who had three holes in her heart, underwent surgery on Monday night in Ludhiana on Monday.

FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – Zainab, Seven-year-old girl from Faisalabad, who was suffering from heart disease and went to India for treatment died on Tuesday after undergoing heart surgery at a hospital in Indian city of Ludhiana.

Zainab was taken to Ludhiana by her parents on the recommendations of doctors at Faisalabad’s Institute of Cardiology. A philanthropist of Faisalabad took responsibility of her treatment after Dunya News aired the news of her illness and financial condition of her parents.

Zainab, who had three holes in her heart, underwent the surgery on Monday night and was shifted to intensive care unit (ICU) where she died on Tuesday morning.

Zainab’s body was brought to Pakistan via Wagah Border and was shifted to Faisalabad where she will be laid to rest.
