PPP, MMA withdraw nominations in favor of PTI, PML-N respectively
Election 2018 will be held on July 25 as notified earlier in a free, fair and transparent manner.
TANK (Dunya News) – Candidate of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Faisal Kareem Kundi on Saturday has withdrawn his candidature for NA-37 Tank in the favor of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
As a part of seat adjustment, PPP has taken back nomination papers of his candidate. Jamiat Ulema-e Islam (JUI-F) Chief Moulana Fazl-ur-Rehman’s son Asad Mahmood is also contesting elections from the same constituency.
On the other hand, candidate of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal has withdrawn his papers from NA-3 Swat to support former Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) and president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shehbaz Sharif.
Hujjat Ullah has also announced to participate in the polls as an independent candidate.
According to an official of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), electoral symbols will be issued to the contesting candidates today as per the election schedule.
All willing candidates have submitted their withdrawal throughout the country after which the electoral body has started preparing the final list of candidates.
The date of poll will remain intact and general election 2018 will be held on July 25 as notified earlier in a free, fair and transparent manner.
