Lahore: Interim CM renews commitment for transparent elections

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Interim Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Hassan Askari on Saturday asserted that primary task of caretaker set up is to conduct transparent elections.

“To provide equal opportunities [in general elections 2018] is our responsibility”, asserted Askari.
Caretaker CM termed Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz’s (PML-N) narrative of aliens as political statement. Responding to question on objections raised by PML-N over his appointment, Askari stated that confidence of all political outfits will be restored on basis of performance.
Askari made it overtly clear that he would continue to work with a small cabinet.
