KARACHI (Dunya News) – Membership of Sindh information minister Nasir Hussain Shah has been challenged in Sindh High Court (SHC) today (Monday) after his iqama surfaced.

In a petition filed by Zubair Jatoi, it was stated that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader showed agriculture as his profession during 2013 elections but he was an iqama holder in 2009 in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Nasir Hussain lied in the nomination paper after which he is no more truthful and honest, the plea declared.

A two-member bench will conduct hearing of the case.

It is to be mentioned here that former Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif were disqualified over iqama under Article 62 (1) (f).

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen was also ousted for concealing his assets.
