Summary The Supreme Court reserved judgement of the case regarding buyout of railway land at a small price.
A petition was filed in the Supreme Court against Royal Palm Golf Club for buying railways land at a very low price. It states that 141 acres of land belonging to the railways department was sold to the club in 2001 for rupees 10 billion on a 49 year lease. He requested that the deal should be cancelled.Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry’s two member bench after reviewing statements from both the parties reserved the judgment of the case.
