CJP takes suo motu notice of exorbitant salaries in PKLIRC

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar on Sunday suo motu notice of exorbitant salaries of employees of Pakistan Kidney And Liver Institute And Research Center (PKLIRC), reported Dunya News.

As per details garnered, country’s top court also summoned details of service structure of aforementioned organization.

CJP also summoned details pertaining to budget of PKLIRC, recruitment of doctors and other staffers. The country’s top judge—during hearing—remarked that doctors had been recruited at Rs1.5 million per month salary. CJP inquired Punjab chief secretary that who was head of PKLIRC? Responding to this, chief secretary replied that Saeed Akhtar was the head of the institution. Chief secretary also informed the court that Saaed Akhtar was in Saudi Arabia to offer Umrah.

CJP also inquired that whether the better half of Akhtar Saeed was also appointed in the institution.

Later, the hearing was adjourned.
