PPP to take to streets against electricity load shedding across Punjab today

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has announced to stage protest against increasing power cuts across Punjab today (Friday).

The protests will be demonstrated at district headquarters of the party however, in Lahore, it will be held outside Press Club at 4 pm.

On the other hand, Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) is all set to stage protest outside the office of K-Electric against continuous electricity load shedding in Karachi.

PSP leader Anees Qaimkhani has also invited Chief Minister of Sindh (CM) Murad Ali Shah to join them in the rally. 

Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif said economic activities had been increased due to sufficient reduction in load-shedding.

He said energy crisis had been overpowered too much extent, adding the time was not far when load-shedding would become a thing of the past.

Due to sufficient decrease in load shedding, he said economic activities had been boosted up in Karachi and other parts of the country. The duration of electricity supply to the industrial sector had been increased, he added.
