Will put problems of tribal people before army chief: Imran Khan

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Wednesday vowed to put agonies of masses of Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) before Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Khan also stated that he would request army chief to slash number of check posts and initiate probe to recover the missing persons. “Houses of tribal people were blown away due to [military] operation whereas they [tribal peoples] suffered a lot in the past”, Khan said while adding, “[We] will merge FATA in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa [KPK] after winning general polls 2018 and end all types of tax imposed on tribal people”.

While terming unemployment biggest problem of FATA, Khan stated that PTI would conduct local body elections in FATA soon after gaining power. He apprised attendants that it was Nawaz Sharif and Maulana Fazalur Rehman who opposed FATA reforms.

He taunted that progress of Punjab Chief Minister (CM) halted with orders of Chief Justice of Pakistan pertaining to end of government advertisement. “Shehbaz Sharif sould be ashamed of himself when he talks about loans. All progress of Shehbaz Sharif occurred in advertisement”.

Keeping up the verbal onslaught against ruling Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz, Khan forecasted that Nawaz Sharif was going to Adiala Jail instead of dead end.
