Sindh govt extends Rangers' powers in Karachi for 90 days

Summary Rangers’ special powers were expired on night between Tuesday and Wednesday.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Sindh government on Tuesday has approved a notification to extend Pakistan Rangers’ special powers in Karachi for another 90 days, Dunya News reported.

The Sindh Home Ministry has sent the summary of extension in Rangers  special powers to Federal Government.

The Rangers had been given powers under Section-5 of the Anti Terrorism Act 1997 according to which Rangers were authorised to conduct a raid and arrest accused in any area of the metropolis.
