Summary Sherry Rehman said the ruling PML-N is insulting parliament.
LARKANA (Dunya News): Vowing to resist anti-democracy plans, opposition leader in the Senate and Pakistan People’s Party central leader Sherry Rehman has said that the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz is involved in violating the sanctity of parliament.
“How can the prime minister speak about respect of vote when he doesn’t observe sanctity of the Upper House of parliament,” Rehman said while speaking to the media in Larkana on Tuesday.
“Whenever the PML-N finds itself in a quagmire they start speaking about Charter of Democracy,” the senator maintained.
The PPP leader went on to say that the party would put up a tough fight in Punjab in the upcoming elections. Replying to a question, she said that the ruling party must consult the opposition for appointment of the caretaker prime minister.
