Ashiana Housing case: Nab court grants 14-day extension in physical remand of Ahad Cheema, co-accused

NAB court has given extended physical remand of Ahad Cheema, Shahid Shafique and others by 14 days.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – In the Ashiana Housing case, NAB court has given extended physical remand of Ahad Cheema, Shahid Shafique and others by 14 days.

In the hearing today, NAB prosecutor told the court that ex-DG LDA granted contracts to a company surpassing rules and regulations and misusing his position. He told the court that Ahad Cheema had links with Nadeem Zia of Paragon City.

The court, upon asking about Nadeem Zia, was told that he is not presenting himself before the court despite getting summons.

NAB prosecutor further told the court that encrypted data has been found from Ahad Cheema’s laptop which is in the process of being de-encrypted.

As time is required for that, the court granted extentsion in physical remand of the accused.

In other news, the LHC dismissed Ahad Cheema’s plea against his arrest.
