Punjab govt wasted funds on Multan metro bus project: Imran

Imran Khan addressed a press conference in Lahore today after he arrived on a two-day visit.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan said on Saturday that there was no need to erect a metro bus project in Multan and that the Government of Punjab wasted the funds.

Imran Khan arrived in Lahore earlier today on a two-day visit and reviewed membership drives ongoing at multiple camps of the political party.

While addressing appointment holders of the organisation, Khan said that the Government of Punjab wasted people’s money on metro bus project in Multan as it was not needed in the city. He claimed that the buses are operating on the given routes empty and without any travelers.

During a press conference organised at party chairman’s secretariat, Khan criticised the federally ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and alleged Sharif family of pursuing mega condtruction projects to illegally pocket money.

He further said that the people of Pakistan bear all the burden created by corrupt leaders.

Khan stressed that no commuter uses the metro in Multan that was constructed with at least Rs 60 billion.

PTI chief further added that Faisal Subhan admitted being a stooge of Sharif family in corrupt practice concerning Multan bus project.
