CJP expresses anger over health secretary's report on infant deaths in Thar
CJP asked Raza Rabbani to visit Larkana and inform about the situation there.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Saturday has expressed resentment over secretary health’s report regarding continuous deaths of infants in Tharparkar.
During a hearing at Supreme Court (SC) Karachi registry, CJP said that he is feeling ashamed after seeing the video of Larkana Hospital. We have to interfere in the executives’ working, he added.
He further asked Raza Rabbani to visit Larkana and inform about the situation there.
He said that children are losing their lives due to non-availability of timely medical treatment. He also remarked that whose responsibility is to provide medicines to the victims.
Meanwhile, health secretary told the court that incinerators are being installed at government hospitals on the orders of CJP.
