PM appoints Ali Jahangir Siddiqui as ambassador to US

Ali Jahangir Siddiqui will replace Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry as Pakistan ambassador to the US.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Thursday has appointed investment banking expert Ali Jahangir Siddiqui as Pakistan’s new ambassador to the United Sates.

Ali Jahangir Siddiqui will replace Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry as Pakistan ambassador to the US after his retirement.

Ali Jahangir is son of renowned businessman and banker Jahangir Siddiqui. He was appointed as a special assistant to prime minister with the status of a minister of state in August last year.

Ali Jahangir holds a bachelor degree in Economics from Cornell University, US. He was honoured by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader in 2014. He also previously served as chairman chairman of JS Bank and JS Private Equity
