ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Indian Deputy High Commissioner JP Singh was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday and lodged protest with over martyrdom of a 13-year-old boy as result of unprovoked Indian firing at the Line of Control (LoC).
Director General (DG) South Asia and SAARC Dr Muhammad Faisal handed over the protest dossier to JP Singh.
Spokesperson for the foreign office reported that Indian troops are resorting to inprovoked firing at the LoC against Pakistan’s display of patience. It is a violation of the international laws and condemn-able to target civilian population along the LoC, he said.
The spokesperson has demanded off India to end ceasefire violations and let United Nations (UN) mission perform its duties.
Statement of the foreign office has come after a 13-year-old boy embraced martyrdom at the LoC in Nakiyal Sector.
India has violated ceasefire at the LoC at least 400 times in 2018 claiming 18 innocent lives and leaving 68 wounded.
