LAHORE (Dunya News) - Meeting with Ahad Cheema at NAB office, his wife Saima Cheema assured him of the support of the whole bureaucracy. In the meeting, Ahad Cheema expressed satisfaction at the treatments he is receiving in custody.
On the other hand, resuming strike against treatment meted out to former DG LDA by NAB in Ashiana Scheme Case, Additional Chief Secretary Umar Rasool ordered the Civil Secretariat to be opened despite absence of secretaries of all departments.
Additional Chief Secretary expressed displeasure at the lack of solidarity shown by the Provincial Management Service (PMS) officers to Pakistan Administrative Services (PAS) officers at Ahad Cheema’s arrest. He said that all the affairs would be carried out purely on merit from now and verbal orders would not be entertained any longer.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had arrested former head of the Lahore Development Authority Ahad Khan Cheema last week to question him about his alleged involvement in Lahore’s Ashiyana-i-Iqbal Housing Society scam.
