Sukkur: Shutter down strike observed against POL price hike

A shutter down strike was observed in Sukkur and interior Sindh on the call of Sunni Tehreek against increase in petroleum prices.

All markets and bazaars including Ghanta Ghar, Station road, Nishtar road, March bazaar, Race Course road, Sarafa bazaar and Mehraan centre remained closed in Sukkur. Heavy contingent of police and Rangers were deployed in the city to avoid any untoward incident.Later, a protest demonstration was staged under the supervision of Maulana Noor Ahmed Qasmi, Mehboob Sehtu, Musharraf Mehmood Qadri and others. The protesters staged a sit-in in front of Ghanta Ghar.
