Don't blame us for your failure in Afghnistan, DG ISPR tells US

Summary Major General Asif Ghafoor said that US should not blame Pakistan for its failures in Afghanistan.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor said that the US should not blame Pakistan for its failures in Afghanistan.

In an interview with a private news channel, Major General Asif Ghafoor said that Pakistan rendered numerous sacrifices to restore peace and stability in the country as well as in the region. “Peace has returned to the Pakistan and its future is prosperous,” he added.

He said that former army chief General Kayani had initiated counter terrorism plan and added that the current army chief General Bajwa’s doctrine will bring durable peace in Pakistan. He said terrorists were eliminated from Pakistan through Operation Zarb-e-Azb.

Pakistan had a good coordination with International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan and we can achieve peace through effective coordination.

Answering a question, Major General Asif Ghafoor said that has a role in destabilizing Pakistan through subversive activities and arrest of Kulbhushan Jadhav has vindicated our stance.
