Summary He was talking to media in Islamabad.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News)- Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan has on Monday overtly ruled out any possibility of political consortium with Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) under leadership of ‘corrupt’ Asif Ali Zardari.
Khan was talking to media after registering appearance before anti-terrorism court (ATC) here in Islamabad today.
“If I had to gain power only, I would have combined forces with PPP to oust Nawaz Sharif. How can I make an alliance with Zardari’s party when I’m battling corruption”, Khan was quoted as saying.
“Police were acting as Sharifs’ servants when carnage happened in Lahore’s Model Town. There is no such precedent in democratic societies in any part of the world”, Khan maintained while adding, “Police fired bullets on innocent and unarmed civilians”.
Khan said they (Sharifs) are trying to establish a perception that if they are thieves so are everyone else.
“In bid to hush me, they (Sharifs) have lodged cases against me in Election Commission of Pakistan, apex court and ATCs”, maintained Khan.
