(Web Desk) – Thousands of devotees from across the country have gathered at Hazrat Mian Mir’s tomb in Lahore to take part in his 394th annual Urs ceremony.
Baba Sain Mir Mohammed Sahib, popularly known as Mian Mir was a Sufi saint who resided in Lahore during the 16th and the 17th century. A direct descendant of the Muslim Caliph Umar (RA), the saint is famous for being Dara Shikoh’s spiritual instructor.
Having spent a life of virtuosity, Hazrat Mian Mir passed away in 1635 at the age of eighty-eight. Located in Lahore, the mausoleum of the Sufi saint attracts hundreds of devotees every day, which include both Sikhs and Muslims.
