ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Chief Sirajul Haq has on Thursday said that all Pakistanis involved in Panama Papers case should be held accountable after the ouster of Nawaz Sharif, and vowed to continue the campaign against corruption on all forums.

Sirajul Haq talked to media outside the Supreme Court (SC). A two-member bench headed by Justice Aijaz Afzal conducted the hearing of plea against 436 other citizens whose name surfaced in the high profile Panama scandal.

SC court remarked that the menace of corruption will not be eliminated by taking action against one or two persons only, as this evil has clutched every department in its jaws.

Justice Aijaz Afzal commented that the court cannot determine assets beyond known sources of income as this is the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) duty.

The apex court then served notices to the federation as well as the NAB on the applications of Sirajul Haq and Tariq Asad Advocate. The hearing has been adjourned for an indefinite period.
