KARACHI (Dunya News) - The dead body of a 13-year-old hearing impaired boy was recovered from Gujjar nullah in Karachi’s Buffer Zone area on Thursday.

The boy named Rehan drowned in the nullah yesterday after slipping near it. His younger brother informed the family after which the locals tried to find him under self-help.



They also informed District Municipal Corporation (DMC) and other relevant department however; the rescue operation was not initiated timely.



After the passage of one day, DMC staff accompanied by Pakistan Navy swimmers arrived at the location. They removed the garbage from the nullah and recovered the body.



While taking no responsibility of the dreadful incident, DMC blamed the residents living near the nullah for the mishap.
