Major Ishaq to be laid to rest in Lahore today
Family and friends have started gathering at the house of Major Ishaq in Wapda Town.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The body of Pakistan Army officer Major Ishaq, who embraced martyrdom during an operation in D.I. Khan, has reached Lahore today (Thursday) for burial.
Family and friends have started gathering at the house of Major Ishaq in Wapda Town while the funeral prayer was offered at Ayub Stadium which was attended by Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Shehbaz Sharif and Corps Commander Lieutenant General Amir Riaz.
Major Ishaq will be laid to rest at Cavalry Ground Army Graveyard with all salute.
Earlier on Wednesday, security forces conducted raid in D.I.Khan after which the terrorists opened firing at them that martyred 28-year-old officer Ishaq.
DG ISPR said that Major Ishaq bravely fought against the militants and defeated them. He further said that the funeral prayer of the officer was offered in D.I Khan which was attended by higher officials including Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Bajwa.
Major Ishaq left behind his widow and one-year-old son.
