Summary Sit-in leader says there is no leniency from their side on the issue of Zahid Hamid's resignation

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Tehreek-e-Labbaik Ya Rasool Allah (TLY) chief Maulana Khadim Hussain Rizvi on Sunday said that every Pakistani stood with his cause and added that no leniency had been shown by the protestors on the issue of Law Minister Zahid Hamid’s resignation, reported Dunya News.

Talking to Wajahat Saeed Khan on Mahaaz, Rizvi said that the talks with the government stood where they were and the protestors were ready to sit in the winter no matter how cold it got.

Dismissing the concerns about children being unable to go to schools, Khadim Rizvi said that the issue of Prophet’s (SAW) honour was the biggest issue of the world. “Thank God that some girl couldn’t go to school. Prophet’s (SAW) honour was the biggest issue of the world. So what if girls couldn’t go to school. They get failed as well. They can continue their studies a year later”, he said.

Showing no remorse whatsoever about the media persons beaten up by the protestors, Rizvi said, “It’s good that they were thrashed. If they’d say something wrong, they’ll be beaten up”.

When Wajahat Khan asked TLY chief about the negative coverage that Pakistan received in the foreign media due to this sit-in, the religious cleric said that nobody had a problem when Raymond Davis left the country.

Asked about his plan, Khadim Rizvi said that there was no plan but to sit here and keep sitting as long as the demands aren’t met. He said that there was no leniency shown and all media reports claiming such things were false.

Quoting a couplet from Allama Iqbal, Rizvi said that the only way for the Muslim Ummah to unite was the love for Prophet (SAW). He said that his party was completely independent and they contested their elections even under heavy debts. He added that his party will contest elections from all parts of the country.
