KARACHI (Dunya News) – Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi is to be celebrated on December 1 (Monday) as Rabi-ul-Awwal moon was sighted in Pakistan on Sunday.

Ruet-e-Hilal Committee convened a moon-sighting meeting in Karachi at the office of Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) which was presided over by chairman Mufti Muneebur Rehman.

The participants agreed on sighting of the fresh crescent announcing that Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi is to be celebrated on the first of the coming month. The meeting was attended by members of zonal committee and Met Office representatives.

The meeting was convened over strong odds of sighting today in coastal areas of Sindh metropolitan.
