SHC officials also visited the college to monitor the educational activity.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Following the orders of Sindh High Court (SHC), Aisha Bawany College has been reopened today (Friday) after one week.

According to details, SHC official Karam Deen and Additional Advocate General Barrister Ghulam Mustafa arrived at the college to monitor the educational activity.

The SHC representative, under the supervision of justice Muneeb Akhtar, would submit implementation report to the SHC bench.

Earlier, a brawl broke out between protesting students and teachers with the administration of Karachi’s Aisha Bawany College over refusal to reopen the institution.

The situation became worst when the students and instructors staged demonstration and chanted slogans against the management. The students also tried to hold sit-in at Shahrah-e-Faisal but police warned them of stern action.

On Saturday, SHC suspended civil judge’s order to seal Aisha Bawany College and ordered to reopen the institution till September 23.

The dispute erupted between Aisha Bawany Trust and education department over non-payment of Rs 50,000 per month as rent which had accumulated to Rs8,400,000.
