Summary Lord Nazir Ahmed left for Myanmar on Thursday to provide relief and aid the Rohingya Muslims.

LONDON (Dunya News) – Lord Nazir Ahmed, a member of the British House of Lords, left for Myanmar along with members of other charity groups to provide relief and aid the Rohingya Muslims.

Talking to journalists at the Heathrow Airport before departure, Lord Nazir Ahmed said the millions of Rohingya Muslims were trapped in Myanmar and facing "catastrophic" humanitarian situation.

Lord Nazir said that Rohingya Muslims living in caps urgently need food, warm clothes and medical aid. Lord Nazir further said that he is going to the refugee camps at the Myanmar border to provided medical aid and food to trapped Rohingya Muslims.

An England-based charity group’s chairman Abdul Razzaq Sajid and Rohingya Muslims leader Tankin Mong were also present on the occasion.
