Unofficial result: PPP wins Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly-4 by-polls
PPPs candidate Javed Hussain won the Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly-4 by-polls on Sunday.
HUNZA (Dunya News) – According to unofficial and unconfirmed results Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate Javed Hussain has won the by-election in the Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly-4 in Hunza-Nagar.
The seat fell vacant in February 2017 after the demise of ITP s Muhammad Ali Sheikh.
The PPP candidate Javed Hussain defeated Islami Tehreek Pakistan (ITP) candidate who was also backed by PML-N and Majlis Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen.
According to unofficial and unconfirmed results PPP’s Javed Hussain secured 6617 votes to defeat ITP’s Muhammad Baqar who bagged 5334 votes.
