Summary Met Office has also warned of floods due to more than usual downpour in July.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD) has predicted a likelihood of rainfall/thunderstorm in different parts of the country including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Sahiwal, Gujranwala and Kashmir on Wednesday.

Met Office has also warned of floods due to more than usual downpour in July whereas land sliding is likely in mountainous areas.

However; the plain areas of Punjab and Sindh will reel under intense heatwave. The temperature in Lahore, Multan and Faisalabad will be between 40-44 degrees.

Meanwhile, Larkana, Jacobabad, Dadu, Sibbi and Turbat will also witness high temperatures.

Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. However, a shallow westerly wave is still affecting Kashmir and its adjoining areas.

Temperature of some major cities recorded on Wednesday morning:-

Islamabad 23°C, Lahore 27°C, Karachi 30°C, Peshawar 26°C, Quetta 17°C, Gilgit 16°C, Murree 18°C and Muzaffarabad 19°C.
