Chaudhry Nisar announced revision in visa policy, databank for Chinese nationals visiting Pakistan

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has announced on Monday to revise the visa policy and establishment of a databank for Chinese nationals visiting Pakistan.

He ordered investigation into the killing of Chinese citizens in Quetta. It is possible that the visa policy for the regional ally China would be reviewed. Nisar assured proper measures to prevent such incidents in future.

The decision was taken during an important meeting chaired by the Interior Minister Nisar. He ordered the authorities to form a databank of all Chinese nationals living in Pakistan. He also directed them to send this data to all security forces, National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and relevant police stations.

While talking about the case, he told that the two Chinese locals visited Pakistan on business visas with their group. Rather than carrying out business activities, the group went to Quetta to learn Urdu from a Korean national and started preaching.

Interior Minister has directed security forces to probe into the matter and called for precautionary measures to avoid the misusage of visas in future.
