Summary The advertisement agency is to be blacklisted, according to the government
(Web Desk) – An advertisement campaign of the Government of Punjab over health initiatives is receiving flak with Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif ordering an inquiry into the issue after his PR team had his doctored photo published in papers last week.
Picture of Michael J. Revness, a United States-based business and real estate counsel and founding partner of a renowned law firm was altered to have it published in papers as part of the advertisements.

However, reportedly, the Punjab CM has taken notice of the malpractice expressing his displeasure and ordering inquiring into the incident. According to an English daily, the incident has riled up CM Shehbaz Sharif.
Opposition political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was once again quick to censure the provincial government for allegedly misleading the people.
Spokesperson for the political party that has been staunchly opposing the leadership of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) which is federally ruling since 2013, said: “Shahbaz continues his fraud with the people.”
The Chief Minister has ordered for blacklisting the advertisement agency responsible for the objectionable ads.

CM Shehbaz was censured by PTI earlier in May for allegedly publishing pictures of US power plant in place of Sahiwal coal-fired plant
Director General of Public Relations (DGPR), Raja Jehangir told an English daily that contract with the creative agency has immediately been suspended and a probe is underway to ensure that such blunders do not repeat.
This is the second incident in three weeks when advertisements brought the government criticism.
In May, the Punjab government was accused of misleading the nation by circulating pictures of a United States power plant in place of Sahiwal coal-fired plant, a unit of which was inaugurated by Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif days before that.
The provincial government had allegedly published pictures of Bowen power plant in the US to be accredited for timely completion of Sahiwal plant in PML-N’s bid to meet its promises made to the nation of overcoming energy crisis.
