CHAMAN (Dunya News) – The geological survey of Pak-Afghan border will continue on Tuesday to determine the rightful boundaries on both sides as security is on high alert at Chaman border.

The geological teams of Pakistan and Afghanistan measured the boundaries in Kali Luqman and Kali Jahangir, the areas of Chaman, and the work will continue today.

According to security officials, the survey will be completed today or tomorrow, and its report will be sent to capitals of both countries afterwards.

The life in Chaman is gradually coming back to routine after the cowardly attack of Afghan forces on Pakistan’s census team which claimed 10 precious lives, and injured 46 persons. Pakistan Army retaliated strongly and killed more than 50 Afghans afterwards.

Educational institutions have opened after four days in Chaman, and migrant families have started to move back to their homes.

Owing to security concerns, Bab-e-Dosti remains closed on the fifth day as well. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s (NATO) supply line, Afghan transit trade and pedestrian locomotion between Pakistan and Afghanistan, all are suspended.

The stoppage of NATO’s supply line and Afghan transit trade have resulted in long queues of vehicles at the border.

Furthermore, Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps (FC) are completely ready to respond to any aggression shown by Afghan forces.
