Summary "The act would minmise malware attacks"
(Web Desk) – Election Commission of Pakistan has banned social media websites and YouTube in all of its offices across the country on Tuesday.
Deputy Director of the commission, Syed A Rahman Zafar wrote to provincial head offices in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Sindh to ban these websites claiming that the act would minmise malware attacks and ensure that usage of electronic resources is up to the optimum level.

Notification issued by the election commission in this regard
Notification issued in this regard stated that Facebook, Twitter and Youtube would be banned in ECP Secretariat as well.
“It is therefore, requested to direct your respective Director-MIS to ensure the blockage of all types of social media and streaming websites (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook) immediately through Provincial GM of PTCL / NTC under intimation to this commission.
