Summary Punjab CM said that public support was an evidence of PM Nawaz's popularity
LODHRAN (Dunya News) – Punjab CM claimed on Tuesday that the people of Pakistan would disown other parties in the upcoming general elections of 2018. He said that the loud cheers in shape of public support were a proof of PM Nawaz’s rising popularity in the country.
While addressing to a rally in Lodhran, Shehbaz Sharif said, “The change will only be witnessed under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif. Leaders of other political parties claim that they would change Punjab if given an opportunity. I ask them to clean Karachi first then talk about Punjab.”
Punjab CM claimed that his government in the province had spread a network of projects in South Punjab as well, adding that they would complete all projects within months. He said that he had spent his days and nights in South Punjab during floods.
He also talked about the PSL Lahore final, calling it a huge hit. “Some leaders opposed the final, they also criticised Metro bus. But now they’re starting the same transportation project in Peshawar.”
Shehbaz Sharif announced to launch a clean water project for 37 tehsils of South Punjab along with promising to end the loadshedding by 2018. “We will provide loans worth Rs 100 billion to the small-scale farmers,” he added.
