Employees of Port Qasim Authority have ended their protest after successful dialogues between the Administration. President Peoples Labour Union Nusrat Shah said that the Administration will increase salaries on Thursday. Over employees protest, Chairman Port Qasim Authority Muhammad Shafih Khan telephoned the union leaders and assured them to fulfill their demands. The protest was ended over the Authority provided written assurance to the employees. According to the letter, salaries of the employees would be increased on ad-hoc basis. The employees protested against authoritys failure to increase 15 percent salaries due to which the work remained halted all the day. Due to protest, business activities came to a halt at Port Qasim International Containers Terminal.
