Summary Political rivals sat side by side in Karachi University, Sindh CM responded to criticism on the spot
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Farooq Sattar on Saturday said that Water Board has been ruined but Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah responded to him on the spot saying that it was MQM that had recruited 10,000 people in the department, reported Dunya News.
It is almost impossible for political rivals to not argue with each other when sitting under the same roof. The heads of Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) and MQM were also present along with the CM of Sindh at a seminar in Karachi University. The three criticised each other and also vowed to cooperate on national issues.
When Mustafa Kamal, the PSP leader, gave the example of China’s good governance, Sindh CM said that there wasn’t a more centralised system anywhere in the world than China. “Though you cited China’s example here, there’s no bigger champion of devolution of power than us”, he said.
Talking about Water Board’s situation also proved costly for Farooq Sattar as Murad Ali Shah was quick to respond to him too. “You talked about Water Board’s poor situation but it were you who had recruited 10,000 people who ruined Water Board”, he said.

Murad Ali Shah added that people generally consider politics a bad thing. Education can make someone educated, he said, but not competent. He said that the assemblies were ruined by the condition of Graduation in the past.
